Name Info
Posted by James W. Hoeber <Hhugu@aol.com> on Sat, 10 Jan 2004, in response to NAME INFO, posted by Salvatore Famania on Mon, 19 May 2003
Salvatore,There are Famania families in Panama, USA, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada and some select spots in several South American Countries.
There is a town named Famania in the African Country of Guinea, named for or by Portuguese colonists. They were there in the 15th century.
There are also more Famania's in Portugal.
Although I have not made a direct connection, I believe the Famania name is Portuguese.
