diestel melkendorf

Hey,

in 1636 died in Mellendorf (!) nearby Hannover
Jacob Diestel, he was a sawyer. Two of his sons
immigrated to West-Prussia, where the family lived until WWII.

We are not sure, if there are more children,
perhaps staying in the village...
In 1636 all the church archieves burned out....

What do you know about MELKENDORF, wher is it situated ?
Is there any document about it ?

we suppose, that originally the Diestel / Tietze / Dietzel -family are from the town of Hannover, ther are a lot of names like this between 1100 and 1600....
