He was a ship captain with a commercial license to navigate the most important ships of the time.

I can find very little about him as he doesn't seem to have settled in Quebec.

His only son Jos was a Mtl Canadians' goalie and later owner.

I would very much appreciate any clues you might have about him.

He came from Lussi-Piccolo.

  I am not sure this is the same person, but in Lussinpiccolo, there was a shipbuilder named Guiseppe Cattarinich. He was apparently operating a shipyard in Lussinpiccolo from at least the mid 1840s. I have found records of at least 4 large ships built by the Cattarinich shipyard.

  The bark Dante, 1877 of 535 tons, the brig Plod, 1861 of 414 tons, the bark Euro, 1875 of 704 tons, and the bark Vodja, 1870 of 427 tons.

    He was the husband of Mrs Georgianna Vallée and died in Brazil (probably in 1887). He seems related to Antonio Cattarinich.

      Giuseppe Cattarinich was alive in 1887. The Canadian Census of 1891 show that he was born in 1850 or 1851 and he died in 1894-1895 in Brazil.

      Who has some informations about this man?

      The father of Giuseppe was Giovanni Cattarinich and the mother was Catherine Moreglia.

    Nor am I but any information at all would be helpful. Of course we're looking for his birth date and place as well as exactly happened to him.

    Some say he died in Bresil but I don't know that for a fact.

    So point me in any direction and I'll keep tying.
