Hello Bonnie,

This is your cousin, Just writing about Grandpa and Grandma
Castanon. Grandpa was a parachute packer in the army and
he died in Normandy WWII. He was from Zacatecas Mexico
and went to grammar school. Lets see, Not much else. I was
looking too. Theres more if you go to ancestry.com and see
the other family members from mexico who were also inquiring. I'm your dad's nephew John. Your Dad's Brother
Juan A.Castanon. OH, another thing Grandpa's middle name was
Rico. Pretty cool, huh? I got a couple of picS of grandpa.
Your Aunt Lucy, your Dad's Sister has a couple more framed.
Grandpa was a looker with black hair and green eyes and looked alot like this mexican soap star (mariachi singer) I
thinks his name Pedro Infante, Atleast in the pic I have of
him with his uniform and hat. Apparently you might know most
of this since you were posting this to Demetrius Castanon.
It's too bad Cousins don't keep in touch. Sometimes we let
the family gossip spoil it for everyone ELSE and that's how
the young ones stay disconnected. I could never figure out
why most of us didn't keep in touch. Found out later that
certain family members didn't get along, isn't that the way
it usually is. CousinS need to grow up and and stay and touch since it wasn't us that has anything to do with past
grievances. Well, for what it's worth, I wish we could have
been closer or atleast stay in touch. COUSIN JOHN
