Lussin Piccolo

Posted by Tom Poserina <Captainpos@Comcast.net> on Tue, 19 Dec 2006, in response to I am from Lussin, posted by Marina on Wed, 29 Nov 2006

Marina,
Thanks for responding. I have discovered another generation of Poserina's beyond my great grandfather Mark who emigrated to America in 1888. He died falling off a ships mast while working. His wife Catherine and their 5 children were already enroute to America and did not know that he had died. Our family married into the Martinolich and Blasinich families while living in Lussin. One of the great arguments in our family is our nationality. My grandfather John Poserina said we were Austrian and would get angry if people asked him if we were of Italian descent. Yet I find many Poserina first names that are very Roman or Italian. Our last name even sounds Italian yet we are fair-skinned and blonde in our younger days. And what type of dialect did we speak? By the way I live one hour south of where you live and attended college at DeSales University in Center Valley. Small world.
