Hello Sharyn, It is so good to hear from you. It would seem as though there must be several branches of the family with the name (so many variations in spelling!) As I am just starting to explore the family I see many similarities in your branch and mine. Name, country of birth and occupations. My grandfather, also, was a mariner. He came to the US in 1907 on board the Saratoga which sailed out of Havana. I am trying to learn about his 2 sisters who stayed in the old country and any aunts, uncles, cousins etc. His parents names were Luigi and Angelina Margurita Cattarinich.
