  Hi Judy,

  My grandfather was Clyde Boultinghouse (twin brother to Claude Boultinghouse) who hailed from Boultinghouse Mountain, Smithwick, TX. Twins definitely do seem to be prevalent in the family!
  I'm not much on geneaology but my mother and sister dabble and are much more knowledgeable about the family. Perhaps I can connect you with them.

    Brenda, that would be great.I would love more info.I would like any medical info that anyone has.My nephew has a disease called Ataxia,I just found out it is hereditery,so we are checking both sides of the family.Hope to hear from you soon.Judy

• Subject: "Oscar and "Everett" names

  My grandfather was Oscar Everett Boultinghouse.
  Born in Kansas 5-26-1871, Died Afton, OK 1-9-1955

  Apparently his parents were Joseph Daniel and Ida Washington Jackson.

  OE's wife was Daisy (Van Winkle). For whatever reason, she packed up the 7 children and moved to CA in the 30's.
  One of those 7 was my mother.

  Unfortunately, I know next to nothing is known about "OE" - but both Oscar and Everett are seen frequently within the family.

  He may have re-married, and apparently lived in the Afton, OK area. Any info appreciated.

    Guess I should proof (preview) the message for errors,
    as suggested!

    So, this is simply a correction.

    My original should say:
    "Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about "OE" (Oscar Everett), but both the "Oscar" and "Everett" names are often seen as first and/or middle names of the various Boultinghouse families."

    Wondering if they were simply popular names - OR- popular with the Boultinghouse family for a reason(?).
