Lineage

Can anyone trace my roots? I am the grandson of Harley Balkwill, a navy veteran who resided with his wife, Mary, in the Tacoma, Washington area until his death in the 80's. They had three children, John, James, and Gayle. There are many other ancestors and descendants in that area, however, his son John (Hampton, Virginia) is my father, and my brother, Sean and myself are the last in line at this end of the spectrum. I have been told the name was derived from Devon, England, and is a derivative of Bagwell.
