frierson plantation cherryvale sumter sc

for those of you seeking information from or about the frierson plantaion there was more than one john lowery wrote about one on the old plantaion the other was cherryvale plantation that was originally on the new highway of rte 76 in sumter sc part of this plantation is shaw afb across from the base is the trailer park which was where the big house or plantation house was. the slave quarters was near the flight line of the air force base. there is a old cemetary in that area which was apart of the old st luke church. there is a church on dingle street that is part of the history of the plantation that was used for the slave. check the estate papers in the court house of sumter sc and the south carolian library which is apart of the universary in columbia sc check julia vaughn nick vaughn james frierson and john napolitan frierson estate papers good luck
