Hello Dot,

Funny I was told a similar story too about the "e" on the end. I heardfrom my grandpa that he added the "e" so as not to be confused with some who were on the wrong side of the law. I know that with or without the "e" we're all related from the same family. Good -Bad with or without. I have seen in research that Morrisette was listed as the spelling the further back we go.
