Marzette/Marzett
Posted by (billy) Charles Marzette <brcmarzette@netscape.net> on Thu, 16 Oct 2008, in response to Marzette Family, posted by Pamela on Thu, 16 Oct 2008
Hi Pamela,
My name is Billy, but everyone in Fresno calls me Charles.
Your father and I grew up in Fresno together and we both born in September 1942 a few days apart.
Your grandfather (uncle Revell) and my father (Sherman Sr.) were brothers and along with a few of their other brothers came to Calif. During the 1930's (dust bowl).
You can see what I wrote in the "Marzett/Marzette Story" as it was told to me.
I joined the militay in 1960 after high school and have been gone from home ever scince so I don't have too much first hand information other than what I was told about the big Marzette Family Reunion in the mid 1980's (the Fresno Bee News Paper wrote a story about over 1500 Marzettes showed up for th event and my mother (Alversa) was given the keys to the city of Fresno.
I do belive your father has a lot of knowledge about the family too, so you might want to contact him and pick his brain, (smile). If you do call your father tell him I said "Happy Belated Birthday".Charles
