McMillan clan in NC & sw VA

Greetings!! I am researching for a friend and have his McMillan line back to 1750's VA/NC border area. I have an Abraham McMillan b/c.1755, Dudley McMillan b/1785, Greenville Penn McMillan b/1823 (Patrick, Va), Fielding H McMillan b/1872 in VA, Fred Fearnot McMIllan b/1906 Dickenson co,Va and current McMillan b/Dickenson and his son (my friend) b.VA...I'm fairly sure that I'm close to the immigrant McMillan!! He would've immigrated from Scotland or Ireland before 1750's..NC/Va shows some McMillans with first names of William and Stephen but...Ineed help!! Thanks! Melissa MacDonald
