I do not know too much about my fathers family, my father was born and raised in americus, georgia, married my mother from douglas georia his name was john henry dowdell,his brothers were will, shedrick, grant and there was another that I can't recall right now his sisters were minnie lee and bertha.they are all dead now.I had three brothers they are also dead.my mother's maiden name was evelyn nelson she was from douglas georgia, her brothers was orlando, and one other that I can't recall now it's been so long ago. her sisters was victoria, elmira, daisy, and maggie all dead also.I am the last one alive and I am 70 yrs old. I tried contacting some of them but I did not receive an answer. here's hoping.
