good morning, i just read your query on the robinson's.my mother is a twin cleo and leo roberson [ robinson] born 9-5-27 in atlanta, texas in cass county to h.j.roberson [robinson] and mary richardson.my grandfather said he was born 9-26-1900 in either texas or arkansa.however i have him being registered for world war 1 with my grandmother's oldest brother charley richardson who was born 1-27-1895. i tell my family how could granddaddy be born in 1900 and registering with uncle charley for the draft at the same time ? although young men with their mother's permission can enter the military under the age of 18.my grandfather was a professional gambler and the army was not his lifestyle. as he told me he took something to make it appear he was ill.when my gradfather passed in february of 96 here in los angeles i called my great aunt in seattle, washington and speaking to her daughter she asked me how old was uncle h.j. / i said he would be 96 in september.aunt alice in the background i could hear her say no he was not.he was older than mary! my grandfather said his father was robert robinson from either texas or arkansa and his mother was viney williams.they left atlanta, texas and went to arkansa.my grandfather said he had two sisters one named irene and the other biddy and a brother named a.j.biddy and a.j. died as children.i do not know from what.irene grew up to adulthood.she never had any children.my grandfather said his father died before he was 10 years old in hot springs, arkansa.then his mother had left his father and returned years later and brought him and irene back to atlanta, texas.in regards to the spelling of our name my mother's oldest sister would spell her last name robertson,my oldest unlce would spell it roberson and my mother's twin would spell it robertson and my mother spells her last name robinson.i pray you all will have a sucessful family reunion.p.o.box 338-compton,ca.90223Responses
