HEATH'S' AND DICKERSON'S

good morning,i received the probate records from randal heath a descendant of william m.heath born in 1682 in suurry county,virginia.died abt.1745 in surry county,virginia.from the will of abraham heath is as follows: in the name of god,amen,i,abraham heah of the county of warren and state of georgia,a planter,being weak in body but in perfect mind and memory,thanks be to almighty god---knowing that it is appointed for all men to die,do make and ordain this my last will and testament.etc.first:i give and bequeath to john heath one negro man named issac,one woman named dicie and one negro boy tillman with their increase to him and his heirs forever." tillman dickerson is first on page 64 of the 1870 census of davis [cass]county,texas on page 64 with my family charles,miles and julius richardson.one of tilman's son's maried either one of miles or julius richarson's daughters." abraham heath owned a large number of slaves.in his will,dated november 23,1807,twenty-eight slaves are mentioned and distributed to his heirs.the most important slave appeared to be Ranger,a blacksmith." dawah_ma_90221@yahoo.com-p.o.box 338-compton,ca.90223Responses
