The frierson plantation in Sumter was called Cherryvale ns and two others.the plantation was owned first by henry vaughn then sold to his brother in-law john james frierson whose wife was julia sister of henry. they house was built by the father anderson. Julia sons were John napoleon and james. John napaleon inherited cherryvale. They were from Ireland John served in congress after the civil war for awhile. John's wife was catherine James owned a plantation near santee. hope this helps some of the people looking for frierson. There was another froerson who owned a plantation in pudding swampResponses
