good morning, i have just received on may 19,2008 probate records from a descendant of the heath's that has helped my genealogical research beyond my comprehension." in 1772 thomas and sarah heath were living in halifax county in the province of north carolina.thomas heath made a will dated june 13,1772." thomas heath then bequeath's his son abraham heath one negro boy sam and to his son richard heath one negro fellow named munk,old mary that he has in his possession.thomas heath then bequeath to his daughter ann heath one negro girl named lidia,also one negro girl named fanne.thomas heath then bequeath to his daughter mary heath one negro boy named will and one negro girl beck.thomas heath then bequeath to his son adam heah one negro boy named ned.he then bequeath to his son adan heath one negor fellow named jack with his beloved wife sarah heath.he also bequeath to his son adam one negro boy jimmy.also he bequeath to his son adam one negro wench called old hannah with his wife.thomas heath bequeath one negro wench called hannah with paying his son thomas heath fort pounds ,pwt.hannah called young hannah unto him and his mheairs forever." abraham heathwas a revolutionary soldier.he served in the sixth virginia regiment,in captain nathaniel fox's co.in 1777 and 1778."" abraham owned a large number of slaves.in his will,dated november 23,1807,twenty-eight slaves are mentioned and distributed to his heir.the most important slave appeared to be ranger,a blacksmith." the of abraham heath is as follows: " first: i give and bequeath to john heath one negro man named issac,one woman named dicie and one negro boy tillman with their increase to him and his heirs forever".i am going to send this because this computer may cut off and resume this probate information.on page 64 of the 1870 census of davis [cass]county,texas is tillman dickerson and family.continuing on with the probate record of abraham heath." i give to my daughter,sally chappell the following negros:one negro woman named fanny,a girl mary,a girl lydia,her heirs forever.: i give and bequeath to my son benjamin heath,three negros,viz,mymey and her two sons henry and charles with their increase forever.:i give and bequeath to my son william heath,two negros,vis:jeffrey and turner to him and his heirs forever.: i give and bequeath to my grandaughter,polly clower,one negro girl named sarah.:i give and bequeath to my grandson,stephen b.clower,one negro boy issac.:i give and bequeath to my grandaughterlinney clower,one negro boy charles.:i give and bequeath to my grandson abraham h.clower,one negor woman milly with her increase.: i give and and bequeath to my son,adam heath,one negro man ranger." i give and bequeath to my daughter,elizabeth heath,two negros beck and child cassey." i give and bequeath to my daughter polly heath,one negro girl named hannah [hanner]." i give and bequeath to my daughter frances b.highfild one negro woman named silvia with er increase to her and her heirs forever." i give and bequeath to my son richard heath,one negor boy named jacob."i give and bequeath to my son abraham heath,one negro boy nathaniel." i give and bequeath to my grandson abraham heath chappell,one negro boy ephrain."page 3-i give and bequeath to mt beloved wife winnifred heath,tweo negro woman,amkey and amy,to enjoy the same free from any incumerance forever.it is my request that my sons abraham and richard ,jointly should heir my real estates and that richard, should have big negro charles,big jack,and one negro girl,patience,tobee equally divided between the aforementioned richard and abraham.now the will of benjamin heath," this tenth day of september in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and thirty-eight.bequeath unto my beloved wife ,nancy heath,the plantation whereon i live.also one negro man by the name of charles and suckey his wife during her natural life and at her death to be equally divided between my children.i now inject here on page 64 of the 1870 census of davis [cass]county,texas is charles and sookie [suckey] richardson.continuing the probate record information:i,benjamin heath,give to my wife a negro girl by the name of sally.i bequeath to my beloved daughter mary ann louisa heath,one negro girl by the name of fanny.i bequeath to my two sons ,benjamin green heath and abraham heath ,one negro man by the name hall [hale].i bequeath to my beloved son william l.heath,one negro boy by the name of julius caesar.on page 64 of the 1870 census of davis [cass]county,texas is julius richardson next door to his parents with his family.i bequeath to my beloved son,george chappell heath,which is my yougest son,two negro boys by the name of miles and jack.[monroe county,georgia will and testament of benjamin heath].the reason why i have given two is that he is to be raised and educated.on page 64 of the 1870 census of davis [cass]county,texas is miles richardson and his wife fanny and their chidren living next door to their parents charles and sookie and julius and his family.my grandmother is mary richardson born 4-23-1900 in atlanta,texas in cass county to john richardson and everline oliver.john richardson ws born in douglassville,texas in cass county t2-2-1871 to miles richardson and fannie carey.to have been inspired by my family and malcolm x to pursue my family research and to get this information on the birthday of malcolm x is truly a blessing from allah as i seek to further my research like alex haley and trace my family directly to our family in africa insha-allah i again that
