good morning, i have just received on may 19,2008 probate records from a descendant of the heath's that has helped my genealogical research beyond my comprehension." in 1772 thomas and sarah heath were living in halifax county in the province of north carolina.thomas heath made a will dated june 13,1772." thomas heath then bequeath's his son abraham heath one negro boy sam and to his son richard heath one negro fellow named munk,old mary that he has in his possession.thomas heath then bequeath to his daughter ann heath one negro girl named lidia,also one negro girl named fanne.thomas heath then bequeath to his daughter mary heath one negro boy named will and one negro girl beck.thomas heath then bequeath to his son adam heah one negro boy named ned.he then bequeath to his son adan heath one negor fellow named jack with his beloved wife sarah heath.he also bequeath to his son adam one negro boy jimmy.also he bequeath to his son adam one negro wench called old hannah with his wife.thomas heath bequeath one negro wench called hannah with paying his son thomas heath fort pounds ,pwt.hannah called young hannah unto him and his mheairs forever." abraham heathwas a revolutionary soldier.he served in the sixth virginia regiment,in captain nathaniel fox's co.in 1777 and 1778."" abraham owned a large number of slaves.in his will,dated november 23,1807,twenty-eight slaves are mentioned and distributed to his heir.the most important slave appeared to be ranger,a blacksmith." the of abraham heath is as follows: " first: i give and bequeath to john heath one negro man named issac,one woman named dicie and one negro boy tillman with their increase to him and his heirs forever".i am going to send this because this computer may cut off and resume this probate information.
