Adger or Lawson South Carolina

Trying to locate Adger or Lawson family members in the Summerton or surrounding areas. I have run across a posting indicating that Lawson my actually be my family's 'original' name. Pinkney Adger (born around 1838) had a nephew, 6 year old Samuel Lawson living with him in the 1880 census.
