Good day all,I know I'm late, but I just found this website. Elizabeth DeBrew was my grandmother, and her siblings were (Aunt) Geneva, (Aunt) Julia, and a few others which I never met. I have the type of immediate family that does not believe in keeping me informed about family reunions, and that is a fact. In my opinion, people should not tell others to tell so n so about "the reunion" because people are not reliable. However, the person responsible for planning the reunion should at least mail one invitation per household. My father divorced my mother when I was three, and therefore we never had contact with him until I was about twenty-five years of age. So, with that said we are still not in contact with Rufus. As a result of his abandoning me I never knew his people (except my grandparents and his three siblings, and two of his aunts).
I am explaining all of this so that you all understand how important it is to contact me yourself. Please do not depend on others to give me a message because they won't I do believe it is deliberate. I am an honest person, so that is why I'm telling you the facts. There is no need to pretend because I grew up not knowing my DeBrew side, and it needs to end.
