Finding Current Family Members...

Posted by Deloris Williams <delwilliams@insightbb.com> on Fri, 13 Jan 2006, in response to i wana find my lost family, posted by Donna on Wed, 05 Nov 2003

I notice that a lot of the messages being posted here are in reference to finding "lost" family members that one hasn't seen in a long while, or someone who is currently alive. This website is for Genealogical research and is the wrong place to post such items. If you need help in finding your family members, you might want to try looking through public records databases, not genealogy ones. There are a few good FREE People finders on the internet, which are the places to use to find your family members. The following are a few good sites that I would suggest you try instead of posting your inquiries on these kinds of message boards:

First, here is a great place to point you in the right direction -
http://www.virtualchase.com/people/

Try Yahoo, they have a great search engine-
http://people.yahoo.com/

A good Yellow/White Pages search, on the internet:
http://www.switchboard.com/

The Best -
