Indigenous names for the continent

Well it's unlikely that that many autocthonic languages would have names for the continent as a whole but rather for the immediate region; which it would be important to distiguish from the regions controlled by surrounding peoples. Defining the super-region or continent only becomes important with significant contact with people from outside it.Display message for printing | Print Entire Thread
