Pendleton/Paine-KY to OH

Posted by Judy <LangJudithB@cs.com> on Sun, 01 Jan 2006

My greatgrandmother, Sarah Francis "Fanny" Pendleton Yeizer and her brother, Spencer Pendleton had other brothers and sisters who I haven't identified, yet. Their parents were "Red Ann" Paine (spelling varies) who was listed by my grandmother as half Black and half Indian. Her husband, Jerry Pendleton, was supposedly Chicasaw. They left KY shortly after 1871 and went to Cinncinnati, OH. I haven't found them there, although I have found Fanny and Spencer there in the 1890's, before Fanny Married in 1892 and moved to Chicago.

"Red Ann" Paine may have been a caterer, and Jerry Pendleton was supposed to have taken his name from a man whose house he painted, who was "a good man." Red Ann was born in KY, VA, or WV, and Jerry was born in VA.

Are there any descendents of Fanny and Spencer's siblings out there? Does anyone have any info about Red Ann Paine or Jerry Pendleton?
