Meggett family history

There was a Randulf de Meggate in the parish of Yarrow, Selkirkshire, Scotland in 1190. There is also the Meggett reservoir and a village called Meggethead in that area. My family name is Meggitt (presumably the spelling has changed over the years. Does anyone know about any Meggitts (or Meggetts} in the UK.Responses
