Rena/Rhonea Stafford
Posted by Kathy Stewart <kstewart0956@woway.com> on Mon, 15 Aug 2005, in response to Re: Rhoena STAFFORD, posted by Vera Moore on Mon, 15 Aug 2005
In my first posting - I did mention that Thomas and Rena had 6 children. They were listed in the 1900 census for Clay County, GA. At first I thought her name was Anna, but after taking a closer look at the census the name is actually RENA.There is a Thomas Shaw and Rena Stafford posted at USGENWEB/CLAY COUNTY GEORGIA marriages on Dec 9, 1875.
Prior to 1875 is the problem.
Thomas and Rena had a daughter - Lillie. There was a Lillie in the Clay County, GA marriage book as married to a Lovett Cornelous. Lillie died shortly after. According to her death certificate her parents were: Thomas Shaw and Rena Stafford.
The Rhoena came from the 1880 census for Henry County, AL where Thomas and Rena's children were born. There was a Rhoena living with a Thomas Shaw and a baby age 3.
