What year (approximately) were your FATHER BORN; GRANDPARENTS BORN? What were your GRANDPARENTS LAST NAMES? I did a quick census search at Ancestry.com, here is what I got on the name Goody.

1880 Federal census...Orangeburg, South Carolina

Isaac GOOD 60 <1820> South Carolina Self Married Black Male Amelia, Orangeburg, SC

Lydia GOOD 17 <1863> South Carolina Dau Single Black Female Amelia, Orangeburg, SC

Urey GOOD 10 <1870> South Carolina Son Single Black Male Amelia, Orangeburg, SC
