Goree: Houston area names

Hello. My name is Monica & I ran into this site doing some research on a subject in Liberty County area. I am a graduate student, and have to search through many databases on my spare time.

I know of some Goree descendents in Missouri City/Houston area. Someone on an earlier thread of this subject mentioned that the Caucasian Goree's were redheads. This must be totally true, since the African American/black Goree descendents that I've met are mostly red or "sandy" headed as well--smile.

I have no idea how you or your immediate family look, but I bet there might be some type of connection. Some Missouri City area names are: Toni, Kymesha, Rishaun. They're probably all married but their maiden/immediate family names is Harris. Their mom was a Goree from the Texarkana,Texas area.
