Alstons from Warrenton, Nc
Posted by Marlene Lane <Marlene.Lane@dot.state.nj.us> on Wed, 01 Jun 2005, in response to Kearneys, posted by george h. washington, jr on Mon, 23 Feb 2004
I had e-mailed someone before about the Alstons In North Carolina. My mother, who is now deceased was an Alston from Warrenton. She had 3 brothers and 2 sisters, all deceased except for one sister-Georgia.My mom told me that we were related to the Kearneys, but I never quite understood how. In Red Bank, New Jersey, there was an Edna Kearney that was my mothers cousin, I think. I also remember my mother speaking of relatives in Norlina. We used to go to a homecoming at Spring Green Baptist Church on the last Sunday in August before my mother died. My grandmother was named Laura and my grandfather's name escapes me right now, but I can find out. I know my grandfather had five or six brothers, some of which were named Sam, Edward, and Charles.I can get more information when I speak to my aunt Georgia. My mother's siblings were May,Edward, Samuel, John, and Georgia.Display message for printing | Print Entire Thread
