Seeking knowledge & family

Hello,

My Name is David J. Reeves and I was born and raised in Newark, NJ. My mother, Margaret Reeves is a Dowdell, she is 79 years old. Her Father's name was Algie Dowdell. I understand that he migrated to Newark from Americus, GA. and had a brother whose name was Isom Dowdell. I have my grandfather's Military Honorable Discharge (Aug. 6th, 1919) and it appears that he served in World War I and was stationed in France.

I am dilligently seeking information on my family origins. If any of the aforementioned strikes a chord within you, please reply. I would love to know where my roots lie...I can be reached at davidjreeves@yahoo.com or (973) 926-0079.
