My first name is your last name!

Hello.

I'm responding because I was doing research on my name and I stumbled accross your information. My family comes from Birmingham AL, too. They hail from the edgwater area specifically.

My father is named Arthur C. Williams, Sr. He had a good friend there named Thomas Marzette. He named me after him. They lost contact with each other some time ago. The story of my name has interested me for a long time. Most people get things mixed up and think that my first name is actually my last name.

I had no idea that the Marzette family was so large. I grew up in Los Angeles CA. My wife is from Bakersfield CA. I found out that there are a lot of Marzettes up there as well. I hope that this information can help you connect with other members of your family.
