VA Robinsons & Branhams
Posted by ZSun-nee Matema <ZSunRise3@aol.com> on Mon, 21 Jun 2004
I am a descendant of Caroline Branham, personal maid of Martha Washington. I have done extensive research on her life at Mount Vernon and one of her children, Lucy, and her children. Her grandson, Robert H. Robinson had several children. There may still be descendants in Richmond, Alexandria, Prince William County and near-by Washington, DC.If you have any information on the Robinsons please e-mail me. I am also interesting in finding the children of Lucy Branham or Brannum from Alexandria, Virginia who may have traveled out West or stayed within Virgina. The Branham family, mostly women were located in New Kent, Virginia during the life time of George Washington Parke Custis. They were in his service at the "White House."
The son of Caroline Branham, Peter was located in a Register of Prince William County after the Civil War. I am hoping to share with you what I've learned and create a family gathering in the near future.
Love to all of us who honor the memory of our ancestors.
