how do I look up a surname?
Posted by selena Kollaja <cuppselena@hotmail.com> on Sat, 19 Jun 2004, in response to Where did the common name William Henry originate?, posted by William H. Wright on Mon, 15 Jul 2002
I am a 34 year old woman who has recently discovered that I am not who I thought I was previously. I have never been able to locate my birth record due to me having the belief my mothers surname was Emanus. As it turns, out her last name was Claybrook. Very odd as it may have been to discover this, I also have discovered the name I have been given is also incorrect. It so happens that there are two possible fathers for me. David Durant and Dennis Ero. I have no idea where to look up the origination of any of these names. My mother passed away sometime back so I am not able to ask her myself. If anyone knows of a website to direct me to I would be most thankful. Sincerely, SelenaResponses
