Johnnie DeBrew

Posted by Tracey DeBrew <trixietrix@hotmail.com> on Mon, 24 May 2004, in response to HARDY DEBREW, posted by LINWOOD DEBREW on Mon, 15 Mar 2004

Hi Linwood,
Sorry I'm just now replying to your message, but I do thank you for posting this GOOD/VALUABLE information. I'm from Hampton, VA and my father is Woodrow. His father's name was John DeBrew. Unfortunately, that is all of the information that I have, but I have been doing a little research. Your email by far has been the most informative. I went to the National Archives in DC and am now wondering if John was named Johnnie and in essence David's son. I will still verify, but this could be possible. Coincidentally, when I lived in Richmond, I met your son who had Debrew on his license plate. Since DeBrew is not a common name, I had to ask if he was related to you. When I was younger, I always wondered if somehow we were related and if so, where is our link? I hope that we can continue to share information regarding our lineage and I'm sure we will find a connection.
Thanks again, Linwood and I hope to talk with you soon!
Tracey
