Hi there! I was surprised to find so many Swints. My sister and I thought we were the end of a dying breed or at least in south Louisiana (Eunice, LA). We are caucasian, but it's very interesting to know note the african american connection. From what we were told, the Swint name is of German decent. I was also interested to find that there is another Gregory Lee Swint (also my father's name) that has two daughters also named "Rebecca" and "Sara". My grandfather was Leman Swint from North LA around the Ruston area. If you know any of the people I just mentioned then please get back to me b/c I know nothing about my father's side of the family.
