Family Name

Hello! I think that I can offer some answers to a few questions here. There is absolutely no proof that the original spelling of the name was Hornigh. It might have been, but that's all just speculation.

The colony the family came with finally settled in what is now New Bern, NC. The part about the indian uprising is true and George eventually acquired land in Duplin County, NC and we use that as the origin of the family.
