finding family

My father is from Charlestown. His parents were Viola (Jenkins)Goodwin and James Goodwin. They might be from Columbia originally. They are called geechies or "rice eaters" They have a different dialect from my mother's people.
My mother is from Georgetown. (Oatland ?) Her people are Cuttinos, Williams, Grants. I have an ancestor named "Peggy", who was a slave. I believe she was a Cuttino.
I love my Gullah relative's dialect, but at times need a translator! This is great!!
