Origin of the slaves called shanklin in Texas.

Armstead and Virginia shanklin were slaves who came from Virginia to texas. Where were they first sent. To which plantation. 1870 census shows they were in Wharton county.Had several children Austin, Matthew, George Caroline, etc.They were some where near waco, we believe.Could you help us?
