dozier

my grandmother was a dozier from augusta georgia.
many people have questioned our ancestry and there are no answers from our family. what is the origin of this name? there are people in my family with high cheekbones, thick and curly hair and dark good looks.
we have asked if we are of mixed race and have no answers. we are just wanting to honor our ancestry.
