Wallis, Mays and G Slave Names
Posted by jhubert <joalv@earthlink.net> on Thu, 30 Oct 2003, in response to Texas slaves, posted by Chris Williams on Fri, 01 Aug 2003
I am looking for information about the Wallis,Mays and "G" slave names. I understand that one "Billy" Mays took the name Wallis or vice versa. His sister was Darkis "G". This was a name("G") that the family just assumed during the 1860's in Washington County Texas. Iwould like to locate any descendants of these two people or any information about them. I am the gr. grand-daughter of Darkis and "Billy" was my gr. grand-uncle.Responses
