Texas Plantations ?Stone family?

I am trying to find any information on my great-grandmother who was a slave in Texas. The location in Texas is not known; however, I believe she was owned by a family named Stone. She died in about the year 1925. I am not sure how to find historical listing of plantations in Texas, or how to proceed beyond this point. I would appreciate any suggestions or information.
