Shaw's of NC, Wilkins of Va.

I'm seeking information on the Shaw surname in Halifax County, NC until 1925, and then in North Phila. I'm also interested in a James Shaw who died in Dayton Veteran's Hospitial in Jan. '77, but lived in Littleton, NC and then Columbus, Ohio. May have left NC in 1940's. WW II vet.

I also have Wilkins' from Brunswick Co, Va, Avant's from Brunswick and Portsmouth, Carmichael's from Atlanta, and Hall's from Cleveland in my lines. Bijan C. Bayne
