Is there somebody who knows the origin of Alkebulan

Hi!

I don't know why but, each time I hear the name of Alkebulan, my heart beats... It's as if this name throws me far away in the past, with a lot of mystical images... I've made some researchs and found that it was the original name of Africa. Africa was, apparently, called Ta Meri or Alkebulan.

(sorry for my english - I come from a french speaking country)

I would like to know a lot about this history. Can somebody give me some hints or points me to some resources?
