MidAtlantic SIG
submitted by GFS Susi@aol.com
The MidAtlantic SIG is moving along at a wild pace. One night we had more than fifty and another no more than twenty five. Whether we have small or large crowd we cover lots of interesting information. Sometimes in the smaller group we get more intense research done in a specific area, other times it is the opposite. We cover all the areas of: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia and Washington DC...The fun with this class is the overlapping of boundaries early and how what we think is one area is really another depending on the time frame. If we follow the Trails used you will see the migration to South Carolina, to Virginia, to Ohio, to Kentucky, to Canada, all and many moving back and forth on foot and horse back... When I was young I was taught these people stayed pretty put, to hard to move around, what we really learned was, many had little in possessions so moving around was not a problem.
The morning Mid Atlantic NY SIG area also is bouncing with new and old attendance. We are having lively discussions and much information being presented by all.
