The staff and members of the Genealogy Forum join with the New England SIG and Family Tree House chatters in extending their sincere condolences to the family & friends of Timothy Taylor.

Timothy Taylor

Sadly, our dear friend Timothy "Plimoth" Taylor lost his valiant battle with cancer on September 13, 1999.  He was just 13 days shy of his 50th birthday.

"Plimoth" as we knew him in the Genealogy Forum chat rooms had a great sense of humor, and always offered encouragement and support to his fellow family historians.

Tim was a regular visitor to the chats that I hosted in the Family Tree House. His friendly "Hi Kids" greeting and good nature made him a special part of that room and he will be deeply missed. While I was reviewing old logs, I came across this comment from Tim, in response to a general question I had asked everyone in the room about how long they had been rooting. He said "I rooted full time for a year and a half or so." My folks died within 2 years of each other, and I guess I was trying to figure out the ..... meaning of life and death and myself, so I got into genealogy." As I was looking back through the log the other night,

I saw this and thought of how his answer is really one that we all can share. It really points to the heart of everything... Thanks Tim! (SYLA)"
