The most popular part of the Genealogy Forum has become new message boards. Well I guess they aren't that new any more since they have been around for a year now. What you can do with them and some of the things we are doing with them is new though. By setting your preferences to alphabetic, you can look at the surnames in alphabetic order finally.

To expand on the idea of being able to find names alphabetically, we have created individual message boards for each of the top 1000 surnames in the U. S. These are by definition the ones you are looking for the most. We have even taken this concept one step further by creating the Surname Center and creating collections for each of these 1000 names. Within each name collection we are placing related GEDCOM files, Tiny Tafels, Family association addresses, web sites and any other information of files we might get on a given surname. This feature will makeit easier for you to information about your ancestors. This is an ongoing project and we have completed the top 100 surnames so far but we are working hard to complete the other 900.
