Message Board Changes
submitted by GFATerry@aol.comIn the past few days, you may have noticed some new features in our message boards. When you read a forum message, a new box appears at the bottom right of the screen. If you still want to use the "Find Since Last Visit" feature, here are the steps:
1. Go to the message boards such as this one --All Genealogy Topics.
2. In the bottom right of the screen, there will be a box that says, "Find by..."
3. Click on the arrow besides those words. You will be given several choices, Click on the one that says, "Date."
4. Now, the familiar box comes up and you can choose to "Find Since Last Visit."
Remember, you are always invited to reply to postings others have made as well as make new postings of your own. Together, we can help each other.
Finding Your Old Postings on Any AOL Message Boards:

DearMYRTLE,I am confused. I have posted on the AOL Golden Gate Genealogy Forum Message Boards messages in Surname area, and 25 State Boards. I check them every day. They were all posted on 03/30/99. I went to check them today, and they are all gone. I cannot even pull them up under "List All" for the last 365 days. What happened? Could you give me an email address to find out? Thank you muchly.

Your messages are all there, but they can disappear from your personal view once you have read them. They are still available for others to see and are not erased (for years).
A "List All" does not always list all messages, a quirk of AOL, but if you do a "Find Since" search and type in a number of days or a date range that you know will include the dates you posted, you will find your previous postings.
