FAMILY REUNION ICE-BREAKER

At our last family reunion, someone had made up a "signature scavenger hunt" as an ice-breaker. We had to collect signatures of people who fit into various categories -- someone who sings in a church choir, someone who speaks a foreign language fluently, someone who traveled more than 100 miles to get here, etc. It really worked well to get us out of our comfort zones and talking to relatives we didn't know.
