I'd like to invite everyone who has an interest in Wisconsin and Minnesota genealogical research to join me, GFS Laurie (your humble host), every Sunday night, 10:00 p.m. EST, in the Root Cellar chat room (on AOL Only) for an hour of discussion about these great states. I'll also have a wide variety of web site resources available for you too!You can reach the Root Cellar chat room by going to Keyword: ROOTS, then click Chats>Root Cellar. Please come and join me, I'd hate to sit and talk to myself! LOL
A couple of things I'm planning on doing in the chat would be:
1) A short talk every week about a county (going alphabetically), just to include some basic stuff.....when the county was formed, when vital records started being recorded, stuff like that;
2) Setting aside some time on one Sunday a month to answer anyone's questions about medical terms. I have a huge medical encyclopedia and would enjoy helping others understand info. on death certificates;
3) Setting aside a specific day so that all the attendees can share their favorite genealogy web sites with everyone else.
