WESTERN SIG

Submitted by GFS Loni@aol.com

Well, y'all, I reckon this is what you might say about Western SIG. We have a nice little small town setting, called Dry Gulch. We tend to meet in the Saloon, where our Mascot moose, Clementine, serves out Sasparilla (a type of Root Beer) and during other times of the year we also have Raspberry Lemonade and Hot Cranberry Juice to add to the menu.

Folks that regularily attend this SIG have often adopted a "character", but no one is required to of course. Our leader GFS Lee is commonly known as "the Sheriff", and GFS Loni is usually the "piany player", GFS Jackie is newly come into town and just opened up the restaurant. We have folks who like to be dancers, Docs, Preachers, cowpokes, and one or two mysterious Strangers.

All this and Genealogy too! Our town leaders and folk are all happy to answer questions about the various states that we cover ie: WY CO ID MT NE KS NM HI UT CA NV ND SD WA OR AK AZ from 11pm EST to midnight in the Ancestrial Digs Chat room on Monday nights. At midnight, though, the sidewalks are rolled up and we all saddle up and ride home to the strains of "Happy Trails to You"!

Wanted Posters with surnames being researched by town members and passers through are allowed to be posted anytime during the hour, and we will also help with other areas of research or problems depending on the questions that are asked.

So if your ancestors traveled West, Western SIG just might be the place you'll find your lost kin!
