Does everyone know how to look at the enlarged headers? If you go into View, then Headers, and click on All (Netscape mail but I am pretty sure most mail programs have a variation on this). This will bring up the full header so you can see most of the time where the spam is coming. I would bet it is not from Rootsweb. If it is, forward the email with the enlarged header to: abuse@rootsweb.com This abuse is good for all domains, like hotmail, yahoo, webtv, etc. If you get spam with one of these, just forward it with the large header to abuse@ whatever domain it has in the header.

Anytime you go to a website where they ask you to register, giving your email address, you open yourself for spam because these sites sell there names. Another trick with spam that I read. When they say, if you want to get off this list, send an email and they give an address, don't send it back. Don't respond and then they think you have another address and will drop you off the list.
